The panoramic scene moves from rocky peaks and cascading water to old pine trees, a footbridge, and small pavilion structures. Engraving continues over the lid and around the case, encouraging the lighter to be viewed as a miniature landscape from multiple angles.
Deep carved lines and fine stippling distinguish rock, bark, water, roofs, and distant terrain. Antiqued recesses add visual depth while the raised brass surfaces catch the light, giving the Armor case the character of a small metal relief painting.
