Hand-Applied Popoté Décor
Popoté is one of S.T. Dupont’s decorative lacquer techniques. Using a special stamp, the artisan applies irregular touches to the lacquer by hand, creating a textured, painterly effect that changes subtly with the light. On reference C23016CL, the technique is applied over black Urushi lacquer.
Le Grand Dual-Flame Ignition
The Le Grand Dupont system combines two flame modes in one lighter: a traditional yellow flame for a softer, controlled light and a concentrated blue torch flame for greater intensity. Opening the cap produces the characteristic S.T. Dupont “Cling.”
Diamond-Point Guilloché & Palladium Finish
A diamond-point guilloché pattern on the cap adds geometric texture above the hand-finished lacquered body, while the palladium-finished metalwork provides a cool-toned contrast to the deep black surface.
Fuel, Flint & Delivery
Use S.T. Dupont red gas refill REF 900435 and red flints REF 900651. The lighter is supplied empty of gas, and the refill is sold separately. A screwdriver is included for changing the flint.
